Central Applications Office (CAO) Change of Mind Form.

 

When CAO, its administrative departments, staff, or other related personnel provide information to the public or prospective students, they do so in good faith and may do so verbally or in writing.

Change of Mind notifications

If you make a change of mind, you will receive an email to confirm your new course choices. You can also log in to your account via the My Application facility to confirm that all of your details are recorded completely and correctly.

It is very important that your course choices be absolutely correct.

Errors and Omissions

Do not wait until August to notify us of errors or omissions, as it will be too late to do anything about them at that stage.

Paper applicants

If you applied to CAO using a paper application form and you have not yet logged in to your CAO account online, you can do so by going to ‘My Application’, clicking on the forgotten password link, and following the steps to obtain a password. You can then log in with your CAO application number, your date of birth and your new password to use the online Change of Mind facility.

This form is used when you want to:

1. Make changes to one or more of your previously chosen programs.

2. Change the order of your options; for instance, go from number 4 to number 1.

3. You can expand your list of possibilities to include up to six programming choices.

4. For the next year, submit a fresh application. You can prolong your application for the following year and change the programs you decide.

To do any of the aforementioned tasks, R135 is required. Use EasyPay to make your payment. You can pay with a card in our office or with the same Easy Pay number you used to pay for your application. You can contact the call centre listed below if you can’t remember your EasyPay number.

  • Check your application status on www.cao.ac.za under “My Application” BEFORE you complete this form.
  • These requests won’t be processed until the R135 COM charge has been paid.
  • The fee in Grid B is R135 regardless of how many times this form is submitted.
