Applications for the Pan African University scholarships for the 2024–2025 academic year are being accepted by the African Union Commission.
Pan-African University (PAU) is a leading African university network committed to provide top-notch postgraduate instruction with the goal of creating a prosperous, cohesive, and peaceful continent.
PAU is offering scholarships to young, talented Africans and other African diaspora members who wish to pursue Masters or PhD degrees at any of its four institutes. In order to be considered for the PAU Scholarship, applicants should be motivated professionals, academics, industrialists, innovators, or entrepreneurs who are committed to leadership roles.

Master’s Applicants must:
- Not be older than 30 years of age for male and 35 years of age for female applicants;
- Have an Undergraduate degree from a recognized university, with at least a second-class upper division or its equivalent, in a relevant field.
PhD Applicants must:
- Not be older than 35 years of age for male and 40 years of age for female applicants
- A Master’s degree in a relevant field from PAU or any internationally recognized university
Scholarship awardees should be committed to working in Africa after graduation.

Master’s students:
- Certified true copies of relevant certificates and transcripts (from university and high school);
- Passport or National I.D. card (personal details page);
- Clear coloured passport-size photograph (2cmx2cm);
- Detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV);
- Recommendation letter from ONE of his/her former University lecturers;
- Names of 3 Reference University lecturers (with an email address and WhatsApp number mandatory)
*Candidates may be required to undergo a written/oral examination after pre-selection.
*Programme applicants for the Master of Conference Interpreting and Translation must possess a high level of proficiency in at least one of the official languages of the African Union, which are English, French, Portuguese, Arabic, Kiswahili, and Spanish. Academic transcripts at the bachelor’s degree must demonstrate academic competency.
PhD students:
- Certified copies of relevant certificates and transcripts;
- Passport or National I.D. card (biometric/ personal details page);
- Clear coloured passport size photograph (2cmx2cm);
- Detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV);
- Recommendation letters from 2 Professors;
- A three to four-page Research Concept Note (tentative title, research questions, objectives, the significance of the research etc…..)
- Names of 3 Reference University lectures (with an email address and WhatsApp number, mandatory)
