For the University of Adelaide Research Scholarship—School of Chemical Engineering, which will begin study in the 2025–2026 academic year, applications are now being accepted from exceptional and driven applicants.
Postgraduate research hopefuls can apply to the University of Adelaide Research Scholarship, which is extremely competitive. Both domestic and international students will be eligible for the $32,500 (2025 rate) scholarship, which will be awarded for a maximum of 3.5 years.

A full-time PhD student wishing to begin research in the applied fields of chemistry, geology, or physics is supported by this CSIRO-University of Adelaide jointly sponsored PhD opportunity. A three-month internship at CSIRO is part of this project.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the University of Adelaide Research Scholarship, applicants are expected to meet the following conditions:
- Applicants must be Australian citizens, permanent residents of Australia or international students
- Be acceptable as candidates for a PhD degree at the University of Adelaide. View PhD eligibility requirements.
- Hold Australian First Class Honours, or equivalent
